PSA: Today is PTSD Awareness Day. Take a minute to reach out to someone who might need to hear your voice or don't be afraid to seek help yourself if you need to.
"Congress named June 27th PTSD Awareness Day (S. Res. 455). In 2014, the Senate designated the full month of June for National PTSD Awareness (S. Res. 481). Efforts are underway to continue this designation for the fourth consecutive year in 2017."

Sadly seeking help is not as easy as everyone makes it sound. Those that are suffering have tried to talk, reach out and find a way to move forward only to be left stuck in place waiting for said help to be available with nothing but a handful of false hope. Then there is all the documentation required that a lot of vets do not have the resources or ability to fulfill. Yes, VSOs are available everywhere but not all vets can get to the office(5hrs one way for me to reach an office). I know this because I'm living it. I will celebrate this "national awareness day"(doctor evil quote marks) by continuing to not be among the 22 no one was there for.
