Great history share, if I remember it was built to keep the Picts out of Britian.

Its amazing that so much remains after eighteen hundred years and certainly a tribute to the Roman builders. Even some Roman aqueducts and bridges from back then are still in use. Years ago in Germany while in the field at the Friedburg Training Area (FTA) we visited an area called the Rommelburg where the foundations of a Roman camp from that era were still extant.
