Yes. As someone that may, someday, need to have a valve replacement, that's what I'd want to hear about my heart surgeon. That I'm about to be operated on by a drug addict (her defense attorney's words, not mine).

Why the hell couldn't she have stabbed the judge, or someone the judge cares about? I bet she'd get a proper sentence then.

Really? Using this mentality we will not be able to convict a cop of murder because theoretically they save lives so if he takes one or two out he/she would still be on the plus side of the equation. I guess that makes sense- in a liberal mind I guess. Well its England where no guns allowed but knives are everywhere.
