It was weird to go to Graff in 1999 and see the German eagle on archways in military buildings from the old Nazi Third Reich days.

The eagle predated the Reich, but not by that much after all Germany became a nation less that 70 years before the Nazis were elected.

LTC (Join to see) - They killed enough Romans that they were entitled to that Eagle

MAJ Conway: During my 30 months stationed in Germany I saw those eagles also but the big change was the Nazi swastika was not held in the eagle's talons. I was surprised to see all the memorial statues of German soldiers killed in WWII located in towns across Germany. German law prohibits the open display of anything related to Adolf Hitler's Nazi
Germany. All who served in Hitler's Wehrmacht swore an oath to Hitler not their fatherland Germany so I was surprised to see all the statues of Hitler's Nazi soldiers displayed. I was told the Germans were honoring their dead not Nazi Germany but that is a thin line that separates the two.

Trying to distance themselves from the past. It's not a "bad" thing, and with the Neo's they're dealing with, I think it's more of a message to them than a means of erasing the past.

SSG Warren Swan Bingo! "Day Late and a Dollar Short" "Closing the Barn Door After the Cows Have Gotten Out". Now that they have a Neo-Nazi Problem they can say they are doing something about it!

Many very good and bad men remained loyal to their country. Never forget that the victors write the history.

Worrying about this B.S. is the least of their problems.

they seem to disagree, and just perhaps they understand their situation better than we do.
