Yea TSgt Joe C. Patrick Daniel Tillman was killed by friendly fire on April 22, 2004 along with an Afghan National Soldier that only his family and friend cared about. Others were wounded in this "friendly fire" incident but the world only cares about Pat Tillman it seems.
Talking with other ranger NCOs in 2008 when my oldest graduated from RIP and was inducted into 3rd BN 75th ranger I heard mixed reviews of Tillman's service in the ranger battalion.
God knows the truth. Too much of our culture seems to devoted to celebrity worship.
