I think the entire background investigation process is a mess. But could there be a trend where personnel were not investigated? Here is just one example: https://www.google.com/amp/freebeacon.com/national-security/top-white-house-official-fire-denial-security-clearance/amp/

Sir this is fishy no doubt at all. I'm not sure how the FBI relates to clearances. I thought all were centrally done by the folks at Ft. Meade. So maybe we have two standards of clearances not only depending on where you work, and who you work for, but civilian vs. military, vs. ???? There was some backlash when Trump wanted all of his family to get clearances. What is the difference? I know I could google it, but I really hope someone jumps in, and gives a short block of instruction on how it's done, who is the approving authority, and what the differences between military and civilian vs.???....... and can do it in crayon. I'm stumped now. Equip isn't for all?

I think that may be the case in terms of who clears and timing. I watched a show yesterday and a Trump spokesman stated that one reason the administration was not fully staffed was due to clearance procedures. I thought that was an adequate answer. But then the spokesman stated that it takes up to 2-4 weeks to clear an appointee???? Red Star Cluster

"it takes up to 2-4 weeks to clear an appointee????".......WTF? I had to wait 18months for my TS due to my ex wife being a current UK citizen. 18mos with a request signed by an 06 asking for the process to be expedited. Two weeks?
