Okay so this is my problem with some organizations that provide service dogs to veterans. Some of these organizations have great intentions but fail in the execution of that plan. Some of these organizations hardly meet with the veteran than placing an animal into an unfit situation and wipe their hands of the veteran with an "everything is fine now that they have the animal" type of mindset. Offering no ongoing mental health support to the Veteran or even checking to ensure the veteran has the proper means to take care of the animal. This places both the Veteran and the animal at risk.

That's profound insight. This appears to be a sad situation for the veteran as well as for the service dog. :(

Ditto, SGT Keen's response, but it's almost impossible to understand how she could be that cruel and not rate commitment to a treatment facility. OMG, is about all I can say.

Ok SP5 Christine Conley -, first all I never agreed anywhere about woman being in combat or front line anything. And as far as this SOB disgrace of a soldier in this article! there's no honor at all in comparing this act of malicious violence to an act of a soldier taking another soldiers life during war! Unless your a sociopath, no one ever wants to just take a life! It's something we're forced into, kill or be killed! This dog had no training or natural instinct to protect itself, itsconly job since it was 8 weeks old was to protect its human.
You obviously did not have a Chance to read my reply to you on that last thread "We" as you state were just discussing. Cause again, I DO NOT AGREE that woman should be in infantry! We are super sneaky ninja freaking warriors that I prefer to take out my target up close! Not out playing in the dirt and mud with the boys unless it's in my big ass truck! End of discussion please.

Probably because field soldiers are over passionate about certain subjects because of personal experience. And your delivery of some of these subjects may come off the wrong way. From what I've seen you articulate an argumentative fact when discussing a subject. As if you had first hand experience in it? If I never experienced something but felt one way about it I would say that I don't know from experience, but I would assume it to be a certain way. Meaning what ever subject your discussing at the time.

So maybe be open to other people's experienced knowledge of a subject that your discussing with them. Not everyone on here is an English major, so a lot of us don't know if your being sincere or just telling us how it is. You have to let us know. Typing isn't the same as a verbal conversation where it's easier to explain ones point of view on something.

Let's not exclude the possibility that she had an underlying mental health problem before joining the Army. It may have gone unnoticed as it might with someone relatively young.
