I too was often questioned for my various "conflicting" identities of being queer, Christian & in the military. I love to blow people's minds when they hear it. God made us ALL in his image.

I had a hard time coming to grips when my younger brother decided to let everyone know that he was gay, but he was my brother a member of the military, and Catholic. He died in '93 from complications from the HIV virus. I personally believe God still loved him.

Had a couple of gays in various units I was in charge of when I was active. Told em long as they didn't come on to me, did their jobs daily and did not cause conflict within the company I didn't care what they did after hours--it was their life to live.
