Here's my 5 cents worth. Sat that board in 2001. The information that is available is sometime segmented. There are some ways of getting answers but through channels. We had a recorder (E-7/8)who tried to get any of the info you were looking for. But that doesn't matter, they both missed is that you might as well be on the moon for someone to speak or seek "outside information" while the board is in the bunker for that 2 weeks. We all had to raise our right hands to echo the same sentiment.
All I can add is to get to one and see it all for yourselves as a panel member or recorder. I went up there with a small chip on my shoulder and it turned out to be pretty fair! Would have loved to go to the CPO Board.

I have a strong feeling that there was a bit of "Oh man i need this Senior Chief's award put in there now" We has integrity gone in our advancement boards?
