Nothing has harmed America more than its history of slavery and racial discrimination. It seems a blight without end.

That is why it is referred to as America's "original sin" It started before most of the original 13 States were founded. we will get over it but I fear it might take generations.
And it is not just race. Tibor Rubin was nominated for the Medal of Honor for three separate actions and somehow the paperwork got "lost".

It is in my book SFC George Smith. He was saving his fellow sailors and it didnt matter if they were black or white, he was doing what he needed to do.

He should have received the DSC! I am surprised he did not receive the Silver Star or better under President Obama! He surived so much. I thought it was awesome at 94 to see him in his CPO uniform! Our greatest Generation is passing away everyday! RIP!

LTC (Join to see) I agree as I do feel he was still short changed. He looked great at 94. I hope that if I live as long as he did, I look as good and standing tall as he was!
