Some great points. Welfare at its best is a hand up, or an emergency relief. It doesn't serve those who use it as a lifestyle. I love his last line, "For the sake of our own prosperity and happiness, let’s be willing to give up our pet perks and assume ownership for our lives." I always told my kids as they grew up, "You own your life. You can make it good or bad, but you own it."
