Great article!!!!! Indeed some good thoughts on an issue often not wanted to be discussed...

Great read! Everything the author says is totally true. We have set our minds to being the "big kid on the block" no matter what. Even in exercises where there is an OPFOR, in many of these, the OPFOR is limited in what it is able to do against the BLUFOR. That is NOT how you plan wargames. However, it seems that we as a nation, and as a military organization, tend to plan for the last war we fought, and rely on our hubris, technology, and luck to carry us through. This will not be enough in the future.9

It does often seem w want to get back to planning WWII style warfare - forgetting that such time has passed.
