There is another thread on this case on RP somewhere. There is an RP member who was there in that platoon. he was clear that the LT was guilty. Unfortunately some people feel that killing anyone of the same nationality as the bad guys is an acceptible cost of war and that soldiers shouldnt be held accoutable.

I was one of the soldiers from that unit that was involved in this ordeal, I witnessed most of his crimes first hand and voluntarily testified against him. He is guilty and deserves to serve out the rest of his sentence. If you'd like a good overview of the case from a more objective source, here is a link to an article written for the local newspaper, the Fayetteville Observer, during the court martial by a reporter who attended the entire proceeding. I vouch for the veracity of everything he printed as a first hand witness.

I do not believe you are an attorney. I am now an attorney and a judge. Witnesses do not decide whether a person is innocent or guilty. They simple state what they have witnessed. For you to state someone is guilty as witness means you are biased as a witness. That further implies you were there for the benefit of the prosecution with a formulated opinion rather than a simple report of what you experienced.
