Just be prepared to defend the Bill of Rights as well as every other provision of the Constitution that limit government. A Convention of the States may go off the rails just as the Constitutional Convention did. (Remember, the delegates to that convention were only supposed to repair a provision or two of the Articles of Confederation, not write a new Constitution - although we're glad they did in that case). The Progressive Left is going to see this as an opportunity to attack our natural/God-given rights to govern and defend ourselves.

MCPO Roger Collins The states themselves. It's similar to the delegate process for presidential candidates, but the rules are made by the states. I haven't researched each of the individual states.

MCPO Roger Collins Even if the delegates could approve one agenda item, e.g., term limits, I think it could be very likely. Name a democrat who would want to see Ted Cruz or Mike Lee sitting in the senate for the next 20+ years. The same goes for conservatives who believe it's time for the schumer's and feinstein's to retire. It can happen, but we need to let our states know, it's time to restore the representative republic which is guaranteed by the US Constitution under Article IV. Section IV.

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."

Cpl (Join to see) - Not faulting the desire for term limits, in fact, I would support term limits on the Judiciary along with Congress. If it could be limited to that, I'm already there. Just nervous about what else could be changed. This would be the time for it, if it happened.

MCPO Roger Collins I agree, but we can't continue going down the path we are on now and expect things to get better. They will never give up the power they've given themselves voluntarily. The states with the people have to step in and remove the temptation.

I don't think the founders ever envisioned career-squatters taking the seats of power, nor nepotism within the boundaries of DC.
