It will guarantee a job.....as a to wether it is a good job that is another question.
The clearance is great but not that hard to get. The companies will tell you anything you want to hear to make it sounds like you are their personal army of one.
Thirty plus years ago when I started trucking it was still.......barely...a real fun job.
That is gone their is no comraderie. That went wth the cell phone and the satellite radio.
Why they even install a CB in a new factory model truck is debatable.
Plainly put. If you are fully aware of what you are getting into and understand that as a career for the most part it is a complete zero and a family destroyer fine.
You will make as much the day you start as the guy who just retired and handed you his keys....
THINK ABOUT THAT VERY CAREFULLY. It will tell you everything you need to know about what trucking companies think of their drivers. I am not some doom and gloom failure who couldn't make it... These are both mine. I got them all by myself. Took me a long time, gave up most of my life,
I am in a specialty niche.....I DO have many clearances..and I am thirty years good at what I do.
That is the exception.
