Side question that occurred to me- do you think any one administration can fix the VA? I am not sure if they can. I am in hopes and think he has a plan. I just feel government agencies are so huge and corrupt that they are unfix-able. I am not sure how privatizing would work for the VA so i can't comment on that aspect. Changing who's in charge merely moves the shell to another bucket until they discover nothing can be done. The bill is growing all the time- and it is staggering right now. With all of the issues they had in the past few years they still paid bonuses in 2014: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2015/11/11/veterans-affairs-pays-142-million-bonuses-amid-scandals/75537586/ and even more in 2016: http://www.disabledveterans.org/2016/10/31/veterans-affairs-doles-huge-bonuses-despite-corruption/
I did not look up 2015 and my guess is it is in the middle somewhere. That is a lot of graft for one agency paid just in bonuses. I have not got a "bonus" as a dual status technician since 2010. For just around 300 full timers we get about 25 bonuses a year. Strange how our agency- that deploys constantly in our ANG status is not on the same playing field and we have no scandal where we are....

Right now it is all talk on that aspect. He has to turn off Republican Sequestration first!
