I don't personally have much interest in a 1911 other than an actual GI one, or modern historically accurate remake. I think there's better modern designs out today. That being said, the 1911 has class like few guns today have.

See your point. I love the .45. Went Distinguished with it in 1978, but I carry a Sig P320 Compact daily.

Capt Gregory Prickett - That Sir was my point :) I was not disparaging John Brownings masterpiece I was pointing out that no other firearm before or since has had such an illustrious lifespan. I love the 1911.

Unfortunately for me it appears they still haven't learned from feedback that most people want the 1911 variety Ponies back in a Series 70.
