LTC (Join to see) Let the legal battle begin. I highly doubt that Lloyd's of London would insure against a death of natural causes. If they did, I imagine someone is losing their job over that. There is a reason that older folks have a hard time getting life insurance. Carrie Fisher was a troubled woman with a history of substance abuse. She had so many disqualifying factors that no insurance company would look at her as a winning prospect. I was saddened by her passing, and I am not saying this as an attack on her. She had issues, and owned them. I watched Wishful Drinking last night, and laughed my ass off. She really was a funny woman. That being said, her history, and mental condition would both be things that prevent her from being insured against a death by natural causes. I can see them insuring her against injury, remember Harrison Ford crashed a plane, and broke his ankle on the run up to the release of Force awakens.

Alicia Keys Harrison Ford Credit you know he went from being a carpenter to being a fixed-wing and rotary-wing pilot and he actually rescue someone stranded in the Angeles National Forest and he was flying on his own with helicopter. It's sad. I'm surprised she has a messed up life. Maybe you're right but I'm surprised Harrison Ford when he crashed that plane coming back to Santa Monica Airport considering it was old trainer and I didn't have seat belts I don't think I'm really surprised he walked away alive

PO1 John Crafton - Thanks for explaining this. I was worried that they were profiting off of her death as well.

Common practice to insure against all forms of loss, LTC (Join to see). Supposedly, Betty Grable's legs were insured by Lloyds of London for $1,000,000. SFC George Smith

yes, contingency plan. Disney did a risk assessment. She had a bad past. Drug abuse, LSD, messing around with a man that died in bed with her. She was really messed up and looked older than she should have been for her age. She did not take care of herself and Disney knew that.
