Sgt Kelli Mays, The shooter had checked his weapon in at the Canadian airport. After he got his bags at the Florida airport, he retrieved his weapon from his luggage and went into the restroom and loaded it. When he exited the bathroom, he began shooting as soon as he stepped out.
We're not safe anywhere. That's why we can't let our guard down and remain vigilant. People need to get out of what they're doing, anywhere, and look around. Pay attention. Report something, even if it turns out to be a false alarm. I'm l aging for D.C. The 23rd and you can bet I'll be looking around my surroundings on and off the plane. My wife knows to do that too. We can't allow these nut cases to keep us from going about our way, BUT, in these times, you have to be aware of your surroundings constantly.

SP5 Mark Kuzinski - John Q Public better realize they live in a more different cruel time now. The police can't be everywhere so it be hooves the public to get with the program and start watching out for themselves and others. That should be a public service message all of the time. Maybe they will catch on if they're reminded enough.

Sgt Kelli Mays Watching it now on Fox News! Horrible. Is there any safe place left in this country?

SGT (Join to see) - Well said Keith. I would take my Glock with me but in Rhode Island I'd be violating the law. Commie state I live in. Maybe I should have the attitude better to be tried by twelve than carried by six!

Sgt Kelli Mays - There is nothing wrong in being vigilant when you go out, but I refuse to change the way of my life completely to give terrorists the satisfaction of putting me on alert and nervous about going anywhere. That is what they are trying to create worldwide in my opinion. In this particular case we could have a serious case of PTSD and Mental Health failure by our Government once again - we need to wait and see what authorities find out about this individual before we pass judgment. It is a horrible crime and incident, but did we as a nation send this individual over the edge? Just my two cents so far!

SFC William Farrell - The movie theater has a no weapons allowed sign on the doors, but like you said, I'd rather get a fine than take any chances. I'll bet I'm not the only honest guy in there with a gun.

Now they are saying there are reports that the "voices" made him do it and that he should join ISIS Sgt Kelli Mays. Its sad and Im sure Obummer is going to go on TV again with his usual spiel after an unfortunate incident like this. He was mentally ill and once again, they dropped the ball. Just like the shooter at the Washington Navy Yard who also did work on the base here in Newport where I worked. I am a big second amendment supporter but I do believe they need to fix problems like this.

SFC William Farrell I saw that on the news earlier....and local law enforcement in Alaska and the FBI has encountered this guy and had him psychologically tested....it seems they didn't know the severity of his instability

Sgt Kelli Mays - No, Kelli they dropped the ball. They did the same with the Navy Yard shooter and plenty of others. The mental health system protects them. That needs to change.
