Michael Barone - Some Christmastime Advice for Pundits and Partisans

Some really good advice here for pundits both professional and amateur (as well as some of the more strident voters). I highly recommend reading it however, before you do, please note one criticism: The author avers that we have two parties, one liberal and one conservative. I don't see that. We have one decidedly beholding to the Progressive Movement and the other only slightly tinged by it. That is, the establishments of both major parties both see themselves as intellectually superior to their constituency and, thus, between able to rule the masses rather than standing back and allowing the masses to rule themselves.
