Opelika 2nd grader buys Christmas gifts for entire school

Unfortunately good news rarely makes national headlines. Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that by doing extra chores and with the help of donations, Southview Primary second-grader Abby "Henderson raised $200. With the money, she purchased a Christmas cup, two pencils, a tootsie roll and toy for every student at Southview.
Henderson says she took on the project because she wanted everyone to have a good Christmas and "no one would feel left out."
Henderson says she's looking forward to doing it again next year."
Kudos to Abby Henderson and her parents.

Maj Marty Hogan, Opelika, AL is the sister "city" to Auburn, home of my alma mater, Auburn University! There are many, many good people down there, raising their kids right!

That's the kind of story I like to read, esp in this season.
