Individual accreditation is a plus, but I've never seen it amount to a higher wage. Entering into the job market it may give an edge over another applicant, but I am seeing a shortage of qualified applicants (those that can pass a background check) for agencies to hire to send to the academy. Honorable military service will be a bigger hiring factor. SGM Matthew Quick

I retired from the USAF ANG in 2013, I have worked in an ACA accredited facility since 2001. The ACA Accreditation is useless for the line corrections Officer. We get paid the same weather we are Accredited or not. The only one it helps is the Administration running the facility and the agency overseeing them.. We have never and most likely never will get paid a little more because we are Accredited officers who work in a Accredited facility.

True, it just provides an extra layer of defense for the agency when they get sued because they can say they have that accreditation and go beyond what the law says they must do.
