We expect leaders to surround themselves with folks that "know what they don't know". Politicians tend to surround themselves with "yes people" too often. Part of Trumps appeal is that he's not a politician.

I would agree. People want to be around those who do what they say. Trump is a politician now, just not the type that we expect to see.
