SSG Jessica Bautista And there we have it. Instead of working together it's gonna be a "us vs. them" mentality. I don't recall as much of this when the current CIC took office. But then again "you can keep your own Dr, and your rates won't increase either"
And I'm pretty sure Mr Eastowwod would happily move on his own accord if this was to happen, but realistically it won't happen so moot point.

SFC (Join to see) - You're probably right on Eastwood, but to say that Obama got full cooperation from the Right is denial.

SSG Jessica Bautista Never did say that either. And I'd honestly say I've never seen "full" cooperation from either side whenever there is a certain party's turn in office, but violent protests, destruction of property etc because of and election is not only ignorant, but childish.
"Hope and Change". Wasn't that the theme? Lol. Now we have "Make America great again". Lol. Neither made everyone happy, but sorry kids not everyone is going to be happy, and not get what they want. Don't like it? Oh well. Welcome to the real world.
And my intent was to throw humor into the silliness of even the thought of succession. I've done it when Texas mentions it, and I'll continue to do it everytime it gets brought up.

SFC (Join to see) - I was trying to throw humor into this too. Perhaps our humors bypassed each other.

the thing is that only 55% want to with draw
the Northern and eastern counties don't want to go... So start a new State Senora...
and Cut the Electoral Collage votes down from 55 to 35 for the state...
just think of all the Left wing Nuts we would get rid of...

I say go for it! Don't delay in fact. Make that the first thing we do after inauguration. As long as the individual counties get to decide whether they stay or go, that is. After it's all drawn up, the rest of the states that provide food, water and electricity to them would be more than happy to go ahead and re-negotiate prices for those items to those who are in the "separatist" areas. I know that I love the fact that my power bills have gone up over the years because we were forced by congress to sell our electricity to "Cali" at below fair market value, so that they could solve their rolling brown/blackouts. We could also use the extra water we send down to let 'em drink for irrigation and they can fend for themselves on the open market for it. Don't know what they'd export, in trade, but hell, maybe an all "service" economy would be just fine, would be a true test of it anyway.
Ok, enough satire from me, on a much more serious and realistic note, I would remind them that over 600,000 Americans died around a 150 years ago, and that pretty much settled the notion of a state's right of secession.
