This could be devastating to family farms, small businesses, and some of our aging population.

"What difference, at this point, would it really make?" (The only accurate thing ever uttered by Hillary) Take it all. Take all the accumulated wealth of every person in the nation. Even if it could eliminate the national debt, what then would the nation "live" on? There would be nothing left to tax. (No one would have anything to purchase goods and services, and the nation's economy would simply die.) There is no credit left to spend. Who said it? "We don't have a tax problem. We have a spending problem."

In Venezuela, there was a surge in demand for little red wagons, as residents needed them to transport large amounts of paper money just to purchase a loaf of bread. If any funds remained after buying the bread, they might also be able to afford some cheese.

SGT (Join to see) If I can’t spend it, I can’t pay tax on it! Unrealized capital gains are just that, unrealized and not spendable!

You would certainly think that's the case from a common sense point of view but the Biden/Harris has found a way to spend it for you. For that privilege, there will have to be a process and expense to normalize the unrealized capital gains that will be taxed.
