Putting fear in our faith in social security is as old a tactic as I've heard over and over. Yes, our government is mishandling our tax money. Same story, different day. The sky is falling.

No Fear porn here...Numbers don't lie when they are honest #'s. There simply are not enough people contributing to take make up the difference....Soc.Sec. Is full of IOU's. I don't ever expect to receive S/S in my lifetime.

Alan K. - This is old information that Dems and Republicans have promised to fix as long as I have been voting. The numbers haven't really changed from earlier predictions which is why they increase the age you can receive it at 100% of money invested. If you retire at 62 and now live to be 90, you collect more than anticipated. If you plan to live on it, you will be hurting.
