Now, this really concerns me more than or upcoming election. I'm it comfotale with either candidate when it comes to the possibility of war.
3500 soldiers from Fort Riley will replace 1st Cav troops from Fort Hood.
The Army announced Wednesday that a brigade of Fort Riley soldiers began a nine-month deployment to South Korea as officials from that country met with their U.S. counterparts in Washington over growing tensions with North Korea.
The 1st Armored Brigade, 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley in Kansas is sending 3,500 soldiers to replace a brigade from the 1st Cavalry Division from Fort Hood in Texas, according the Army news release.

SGT Bodine, this is a normal process for FT. Riley, KS. I was stationed and part of their ration is South K. It's been like this the 1980s when I was there. A battery; or the entire Battalion. 1-5 would also do a full rattion for 18 months; that's nothing new for them. It's has nothing to do with the election at this time.

SSG Eddye Royal, I threw the elections in there in case we went to war with N. Korea. I'm not comfortable with either candidate if we are involved in a major war. Thanks for the post.

So they are just doing a rotation. Don't be surprised when we pull out of South Korea. The ROK doesn't want to be defending Japan against other Koreans. Hyundai and Samsung want to reopen their plants in the North for the cheap labor and ship them directly to China. The world is changing and we are not keeping up
