Super cute. But it reminded me of a test I saw on a Tv show, where the TV crew was at a park, interviewing parents about if their kids had been taught to be wary of strangers. Many parents said yes, and said they felt confident that their kids would never go with a stranger. I forget the age of the kids, but they were older than this one, maybe 6-7 or so.

So then the TV station had a man play the role of the predator. He had a van, and he approached the kid and asked if he/she would help him look for his lost puppy. Within a mi ute or two, each kid was maneuvered right next to the van with an open door.

The parents were shocked that thier kids did it. Then the psych doctors said that kids brains just can't process things like the possible danger, so even though they will parrot back the correct words when you talk to them, they rarely apply it to real life situations.

I don't know what the answer is. When I was a kid in the 60s, I would ride my bike to a shopping center several miles from my house without anyone thinking about it. Of course, all the kids just left the bikes in front of the store without worrying about theft. No one had bike locks back then. But now I read about parents getting arrested for child neglect for allowing their kids to play in a park alone, and walk home. It's just sad.

LTC (Join to see) I saw that, as well. It is scary. This is something parents must continually warn their kids about... a one-time lesson is not enough. There are a bunch of crazies/predators out there who would snatch a kid in a heartbeat. Happens all the time...

Too cute. Kudos to the parent for giving her child the tools she needs to protect herself.
