Maj Marty Hogan, Where I live in Texas there are two seasons. Hot and cold. Sometimes we do have fall weather and spring weather. Like I wrote yesterday, today is the first day of fall and we cooled down from 100 degrees to 97 degrees. That's a cold spell for us. lol
But, one advantage with our weather is you can hunt and fish nearly year round.

In Massachusetts, or anywhere in New England actually We do have four very distinct seasons. In the fall there isn't anyplace I know of with the spectacular foliage We have here with all the bright colors on the leaves. People actually make trips here just to see those bright colors on the wooded areas.

Fall is my favorite season.....I love camping when it is cool out and I have a campsite on the property with a huge firepit and a Cowboy grill...That's where you find me most nights in the Fall (After my no leaf left behind policy is implemented)

SGT (Join to see) - The no leaf left behind policy gets tiring for sure, but it's worth it....

Alan K. - I know. I have three Oak trees that shed like a mutt dog. I used to try to keep them picked up, but the next day it didn't look like I had done anything. So, I do it every two weeks.

Thanks for sharing 15 facts we should know about autumn Maj Marty Hogan. My wife and I prefer the green of spring and the colorful leaves of autumn to the heat of summer or the cold of winter; but, we appreciate living where each season is distinct even as the previous season tries to come back for a time :-)
Here in northern Virginia we have clear blue skies and pleasant weather which i hope will last for a few more days at least.
