Today's weekly devotional for true prayer warriors- The Prayer of the Flying Spaghetti Monster©.
"Our Pasta, who art in a colander, draining be your noodles. Thy semolina come (to a boil), thy sauce be yum, and on top: some grated Parmesan.
"Give us this day our garlic bread and forgive us our indulgences as we forgive those who make reality TV.
"And lead us not into vegetarianism but deliver us some pizza, for thine is the meatball, the noodle, and the sauce, forever and ever. RAmen."

For some adult parody of Christianity, consult Mark Twain's story of Noah and the Ark in "The Letters From Earth" wherein he considers the fact that Noah and his family not only saved two of each species of animal, but every species of insect, bacteria, and virus. He then imagines that they harbored the last two in their own bodies with many "ill" effects. As Twain wrote: "The large intestine was in effect their heaven. They stuffed it solid; they made it as rigid as a coil of gaspipe. They took pride in this. Their principle hymn made reference to it:"
