Deliverance wasn't as traumatic for me as Night of The Living Dead. After watching the Dead movie, I was crossing the street from the theater to get to the bus stop. As I walked past a gas station there was some guy that had a lit cigarette in his mouth while fucking around with his car battery. The battery exploded and threw the guy a good 10 feet onto his ass. I was pretty tripped out as I watched the whole thing go down.

I guess he didn't get the email that tells you not to touch the terminals together? Night of the living dead the B/W or color version? I've seen both, where the B/W version was a head game in suspense, the color one if I'm not mistaken where she strips and has sex in the graveyard was joy to a teenagers eyes.

About 14 years ago, I moved to this town in the Ozarks. After seeing my first hillbilly, I decided to play this music, out of one of my windows, at top volume, at 08:00 every morning, to see if any person walking by would stop, face the music, and salute. After about a week, I was visited by some neighbors, and they asked politely for me not to be doing this.
And no, no one stopped, faced the music, and saluted. I guess that my sense of humor was not really appreciated, out here.
When I was cut short in my playing of Duelling Banjos, I switched to playing the National Anthem, as rendered by Jimi Hendrix, as a way to try to show that I knew where the neighbor's hearts were at. My wife told me flatly that my show of understanding would get me into trouble, so I only got away with that once.
Maybe I should play A Country Boy will Survive, now? No one out here would be mad at me playing that, would they?
