Always skeptical of any charity. Red Cross is a big one- CEO makes a cool mil... Goodwill is not a charity, but people treat it as such and he hires the handicapped to make it look legit. Cash basis business and largest garbage sale in the US.

My favorite charity, which isn't really a charity either, is The Salvation Army. When we went to Detroit for the racial riots, we were in their fair grounds for a couple of days. A Red Cross truck drive around the grounds selling Coke for .50 cents. It was hot Coke in a small cup. That same evening, two eighteen wheelers pulled in and they had anything you could want. It was free, and from the Salvation Army and the Police Officers Wives Assoc.

Sgt Gus Laskaris - Thanks for clearing that up. I looked for comments about fraud or jail time and couldn't find any. I still think it's rediculous to be able to get away with that. Maybe the VA will fire him.
