Classical liberalism doesn't necessarily fit left or right wing. One can be personally left, or personally right, but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter as that is only personal.

I'll admit that I'm not bothering to read the article, but if people are "shocked" or surprised by GJ, then they need to ask themselves if they ever had any idea what a Libertarian was in the first place. Libertarians are not tied to either of the two political parties, they are fiscally conservative and socially liberal.
