As a non-Christian who was raised in a Christian household (interesting visits home, let me tell you), this is absolutely spot on. I have read the Bible. I have studied it, and the history surrounding it, based not only on the timeline, but also on the region and culture. And this article definitely hits the nail on the head, and is why I get so P.O'd when an Evangelical Linebacker comes across me spouting his doctrine and refusing to listen to the darker aspects of the faith he claims to so fervently believe. Judgmental Christians (or any other faith for that matter) need to take a good, hard look at themselves and the faith to which they so desperately cleave.
