Basic Training Today Is Easier Than In Your Day

Yeah it has became a bit soft because the booters I see now, are still arrogant, not wanting to listen to anything a higher-up wants to say (the cell phones are always in their faces), and would rather just not do anything and yet walk away with money.

Even had a shipmate blatenly tried to ignore me when I asked her to go sit in a GMT training (I'm Training Petty Officer). What is so important on your phone that you need to sit out a GMT training and ignore an order from a higher ranking personnel?
