Feed a man a fish, he eats for one day, teach a man to fish, he eats for the rest of his life. The right wants to teach the man to fish. The left wants to give a fish so that the man can come back each and every day to pay homage for the freebee.

Both are but in different ways. I favor left people (common interests), but don't like left government. I don't necessarily hate right people (less common interests), but I favor right style of government (libertarian).

I WISH the right favored libertarian government. Of course, libertarian government is kind of an oxymoron.

Government ISN'T compassionate. Government wants your dependence. The rhetoric from both sides is different, but the end result is pretty much the same.

People are waking up to this fact, not enough but at least that there's something wrong with the status-quo. Trump's ascension is the result of Republicans promising to oppose the Dems, yet caving to them at every opportunity. Bernie supporters know there's something wrong with Hillary saying she'll "fix" the economy, yet the Dems haven't been able to do it in nearly 8 years, even with 2 years completely dominating both House and Senate. Of course, the promise to "fix" something can have more than one meaning. What hasn't changed is that people still want government to "fix" the economy, as if somehow government can. Government can mess things up but can very rarely repair ANYTHING.
