As I tell people, had the San Bernardino killer used his fingerprint rather than a PIN, there would never have been that FBI vs. Apple controversy.
Some biometrics are reproducible, the knowledge in your brain isn't.

I agree! When we (Nortel Networks) developed 911 all we heard were complaints about privacy and putting a tracker in cell phones... but when someone's missing those same people are the first one to say, "can't you find them by their cell phone number"? You just can't have it all!!!

Tough call! I'm all for privacy, but if the police have a valid warrant they do need access to smart phones.

Excellent Use of Technology. Love it. My guess or take without reading further is that the fingerprint readers on your phone unlike the ones I use at work doesn't check body temperature also.
