My daughter is the only reason I am here today. She is what I cling to in the hard times. I don't need any pats on the back or anything. I am getting by. My joke is GOD only gives you what you can handle, I just wish he didn't believe in my so much...LOL

A1C (Join to see), Sometimes it feels that way. I don't know if it's a punishment or a test of faith like he did to Job. He took everything away from Job, including his family, but Job never turned on God. I don't know if I could be that strong.

SGT (Join to see) - I believe as I have been told that once you accept GOD into your heart he will never leave no matter what. So while some say committing suicide will send you to hell I believe that he will never leave you even if you hit this low point. My hell would be what it would do to my daughter. She is my world. GOD gave her to me to give me strength.

A1C (Join to see), I believe that too. I believe it so much, that is why my two suicide attempts failed. You're correct about God never leaving you. He won't leave you even if you commit suicde as long as you believe and trust in him.

I was very close once when my daughter came to me that morning and said she wanted to spend the day with me. We went bowling and went to the ranch and watched her ride her horse. It was so calming and I felt as if GOD planned that day just from me. GOD bless you my brother and may he always provide you with strength.

I have thought many times about committing suicide, but I will not do it. My father did that back in -81. He was not the victim. Those whom he left behind asking questions, casting accusations, and traveling an emotional roller coaster became the victims. I choose to live as I in no way want to leave that legacy to my wife and children. Besides, after Vietnam and an ex-wife, how much worse can it get? I also choose to linger on just to piss a few people off.

10-4 SP5 Joel McDargh, But some vets can't get past their ghosts, and they drink or do drugs. Then one day they crack, and BOOM! They're gone. I didn't want to become a statistic, but I tried twice and even failed at that. Now, I don't feel so,strongly about it. Thank you for your input and I'm so sorry you and your family had to go through that. For whatever reason you keep humping, keep on humping.

Got no choice in the matter. Much unfinished business in this world to complete. Thank you my brother, and many blessings to you and yours.

SGT (Join to see) I never felt that way. Could be because I kept a list on me of people I was going to kill if I snapped. Depending on my mood, how they fucked me over, and the time of the day who was going to get it first varied. Never suicidal, but was very close to homicidal a few times.

Miss you Col Synder! I cried the day I had to turn in that hand grenade with your name written on it. 11 years later I am happy to say there is no one on that list anymore.
