Thanks for sharing SGT John " Mac " McConnell that 48 years after the end of the US Civil War Federal and Confederate veterans gathered together at the battlefield commemorated decades before as "this hallowed ground." While many Civil War battlefield were soaked with blood this one absorbed the most. It was a fitting place for veterans of bot sides to come together after many had come to peace about that war.
