TSgt Joe C. We have murders here quite often. This one really hit me like a bolt of lightening. Those poor innocent beautiful girls had their whole life ahead of them. To call a "family meeting" and then chase your daughters out of the house shooting them, is a new low. Mentally ill or not, she knew exactly what she was doing. She let her husband live so he would suffer from this the rest of his life. Like I wrote in the opening of the post, I'm damn glad the cops killed her.

Being from Houston, this story shocked me. The good thing is she was killed or we would have another Andrea Yates all over. They claim insanity and never touch a prison. In another note, as a father of 2 girls myself, I would have charged at my wife and taken a few rounds to protect my girls. I feel for the father, but in my eyes he is a coward.

SSG Martin Reyna, Since we weren't there, it's difficult to know exactly what happened, and how fast it happened. But, she didn't want the father dead, so he could suffer the rest of his life. With that in mind, my thoughts are that he had time to attack his wife and kill her or beat the shit out of her. But, he didn't do anything but run, and it wasn't because he was trying to protect the girls. It was because he is a coward and only thought about himself. If he is a veteran, and did that, to me it makes it worse.
