Sort of related - I worked with an officer that was into body building. He competed in and made it to the podium (3rd, I think) of a local, military contest - even got his picture in the base paper. Then he got "counseled" that pictures of him in a speedo and oiled-up were not career-enhancing. He understood and stopped competing.

Really makes you wonder about our new Miss America. It certainly seems to work for her!

Ran out of Oscar Mayers, did you? At least you didn't have to squash/shift your ribs to further your "career"!

I actually seen this in person when my older brother competed as a bodybuilder at the state level in California. Is too crazy to do this for many years...not good for your body in the long run. Also, at the gym that I go to, there are several women that compete at these bikini contests, and I have seen the transformation in just weeks. And I mean, two-three weeks tops...totally different person. I went to say hello to one, her face was not healthy, even her attitude was/is different. That was during a spam of maybe week an half.
Sometimes we see all these hard bodies on FB, Twitter, Instagram, etc, but can you imagine what they go through to look the way they do? Ugh, some scary stuff.
