In California we wait for the "next one" maybe the "Big One". After every one, news anchors can't seem to talk of anything else. In our case, we're talking about earthquakes which are just about as predictable as terrorist attacks. In California, the government reminds us to prepare for earthquakes. In the United States, the government reminds us to disarm. And here I thought California had the worst government...

4th of July celebrations are going to get additional police protection. I attended a candlelight vigil last summer in Foxboro MA for the Marines and Sailor killed in Chattanooga and we had more Sheriffs, local police and State Troopers than spectators . They were there to just watch over everyone to make sure that nothing happened.
