A few of our patriotic songs were "borrowed" from our former British overlords. "My Country, 'Tis Of Thee" got its tune from the British National Anthem "God Save the Queen."

This makes me love our anthem all the more... Having grown up in Baltimore, I was very familiar with the story of the "poem" Key wrote. I knew that the music was "borrowed" from a drinking song but never knew the story in this much detail. Thanks for the line. Most interesting
