Locked up for what? All that came out is sexually suggestive emails. No contact, no sexual acts, no adultery, just emails. That's not to say there wasn't anything more to the story, but this is about what the law can do with the available evidence. If you lock up every Airman for having sent a sexually suggestive email to another person, I think it will be a pretty small Air Force. The Gen (and Lt Col) were fired and/or disciplined, the Gen was forced to retire, and now has to deal with some very serious family issues. I don't think I've ever seen an enlisted person suffer a worse punishment for the same thing here. If you have more information to cite, I'd be happy to comment on it.

For the same reason they get more awards despite being the minority of the force. They run things, they preside over discipline. They take care of their own.

SSgt Robert Jorgensen Looks like the punishment was appropriate for the offense. Had they been able to prove adultery or any other such inappropriate conduct, that would have been added to the charges and more sever punishment would have resulted.
