The Defense Department covers in vitro fertilization and other fertility services for severely wounded troops while they are on active duty. Once they medically retire the coverage stops, since the VA does not cover it. Veterans that are paralyzed, have groin injuries, or have suffered head trauma that affects their hormones are being forced to pay out of pocket for fertility services when they want to start a family. What are your thoughts?

Seems to me that if they can provide for Gender reassignment treatment that this should be a NO BRAINER...These folks DESERVE everything this country can do for them. They are not just a little confused. They willingly sacrificed for us all. All Gave some, and some gave all...I say Hell Yes

If the funds existed it should be covered for all, but since that isn't the case it should be funded for those that were combat injured. I believe service connected is too broad and this service isn't even provided free of charge to your non wounded active duty with fertility issues.
