Our government abandoned South Vietnam. After South Vietnam fell, ARVN soldiers were sent to reeducation camps, which consisted of forced labor and political indoctrination. The Americans and South Vietnamese had laid large minefields during the war, and former ARVN soldiers were made to clear them. Thousands died from sickness and starvation and were buried in unmarked graves.

Wow, thanks for sharing. Thank all of you who went and served in that war only to come home being considered the enemy.

This is very true. The South Vietnamese Army really didn't fight all that well unless the had Americans with them or instructing them. From all the vets I've talked to friends m that war and from the books I have read. Certain South Vietnamese Army, Navy, and Marines special units were the only ones that fought hard with out help.
