House Lawmakers Want Air Force to Study Restarting F-22 Production

LOL why don't we go back to F-16?!?! LOL

The US' technological advantage over high end adversaries is starting to dwindle. In many cases, that advantage is gone. We kicked the can down the road on modernization since the 90's. All of the bills are starting to come due at the same time because of this....our economy is underwritten by the insurance policy called our military. The military's conventional deterent effect against high end adversaries are built on our technological advantage. Behind that is our ultimate insurance policy call our nukes....but even those are at a disadvantage and we cannot guarantee that they work....when was the last time we tested the capability? The F-22 has a specific role on the battlefield but it will not address the fundamental A2AD capabilities of our adversaries, provide CAS in a contested environment, and provide ISR/SA, and tip/queue fire quality targeting to other platforms....if you buy into the AF's cost projections

I forgot to add. YES the F22 has shown incredible performance thus far so restore the original number. Lastly to my previous post in 2015 a Marine CH53 operating off the coast of Virginia caught fire inside the cabin it was reported due to wire chaffing, all on board were burnt alive as the bird fell from altitude into the sea.
