I fail to see the danger to us. Sell the assets? Great.

Saudi can't afford to raise oil prices because if they do the US energy boom kicks back into gear. Their economy never diversified, all their population is completely dependent on the oil. They're between some serious rocks and hard places. They may need to sell whatever assets they're referencing just to survive the current and coming economic malaise let alone what may happen if lawsuits come rolling in. I hope for their sakes and ours they plow all the money they get from the sale of those unnamed assets and/ or the remaining high volume low price crude oil sales into educating their population and diversifying their economy.

This is just another sign that shows that the Legislative branch of government is just as corrupt and stupid as the Executive branch of government.
How much more money do these individuals need? Greedy bunch of lawyers - the average payout from just the one 9/11 fund was $1.8 million.
What is even more idiotic about this is the future unrealized consequences of this type of legalistic stupidity. What will happen when a US Citizen student on a US funded scholarship is in a European country for study and commits a terrorist act?
