MSgt Stephanie McCalister - Master Sergeant; Can I get some help here? Are we allowed to say "B___k Labs" or are we supposed to refer to them as "Pigmentaly Differentiated Labs"?

COL Ted Mc Always ask an NCO, nice going Sir!
When in doubt, always check the regs! The AKC official title for the breed is non-color specific "Labrador Retriever" with Color clarification as Black, Chocolate, and Yellow, with localized white markings possible.
Sorry, there are no amendments available for any further colors or combinations. Please refer to the manual for any further clarification. That is all!

MSgt Stephanie McCalister - Master Sergeant; [Removes tongue from cheek] Thanks.
It looks like by aversion to terms like "African-American" or "Jewish-American" (to name only two) and my preference for terms like "American (African)" and "American (Jewish)" (to stick to the same two) has some basis in reality after all.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs This is a great story. Animals do offer great comfort to us even if we don't have the need for a therapy animal.

That is wonderful news COL Mikel J. Burroughs that Gino is able and always willing to comfort Kari Rosado. I am glad her dog senses exactly when she needs comfort and relief from the trauma of night terrors.
