Why not up just walk into the Smyrna, GA Glock factory and order Glock 18s for all. Recruitment would go sky high.

We know that only percentage of those purchases are pre tested that prob’ly could work.. then there’s signing off on liability and responsibility for the pistol treatment.. dropping and such.. Glock idn’t Stupid.. they’ll want all the sign offs and the Military taking full responsibilities !

That is an interesting response from the Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley who picked up ad additional responsibility for acquisition chief for the US Army SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. While $17M may be sufficient for the initial acquisition of enough pistols for outfit the current force it would not cover the cost of changes to training requirements, changes to OCIRE for the new pistol, spare parts and maintenance requirements and the rest of the logistics tail associated with armaments.
While the Army Chief of Staff made a point to Congress I hope he has put more thought into this issue.

Him go to Cabela's would be cheaper than getting the weapons thru a government contract. Too much of a mark up.
